Method in the madness

With all Trump’s outrageous actions recently, people are complaining about legality, and ineffectiveness. Trade wars, tariffs, attacks on boats in international waters, draconian actions against immigrants, vilifying anyone who disagrees with him, and sending in the National Guard. None of these actions are solving any problems for ordinary Americans. Quite the opposite.

But looking for logic, for any basis in normal-person thinking, they are missing the point.

Trump is a narcissistic sociopath. He doesn’t think the way any decent person thinks. He doesn’t care if his actions are legal or not, nor whether they are an effective way of solving any problems. The whole, the only, point is to push things to the brink and declare an insurrection.
