There will be pain

 

With Trump’s tariff war on virtually the rest of the world, prices of essentials aren’t coming down any time soon.

That, apparently, is a sacrifice he’s willing for you to make.

Of course, he’s so confident that the other country is paying the tariffs that he doesn’t want Amazon telling you how much more the tariffs are costing you. Because you will be the ones paying for it. Prices of food, clothing, gas might rise but even crippling rises will be nothing more than a rounding error on a billionaire’s budget. You can be sure, Trump and his billionaire pals won’t even notice, let alone suffer any hardship. Hardship isn’t in Trump’s vocabulary.

But to a family on a shoestring, even a few percent can make the difference between sinking or swimming.
